WELCOME
to Cavanaugh's
Carriages
We are a 140 acre
family owned farm located just outside of Neenah, Wisconsin. Our
family has lived here since 1971 and we have developed an old
western town where people of all ages and learn, laugh, and enjoy!
We are not Disney based by any means, nor a franchise, however, if
you want a taste of great Wisconsin living, Cavanaugh’s Carriages is
the place.
Rodger and Jan
Cavanaugh are essentially the glue and grease that has kept this
farm thriving for so many years.
Rodger was born and
raised on a farm in South Dakota. After moving to Wisconsin, he
developed the old western town in the backyard. He taught science
for the Neenah schools for 30 years, and even though he’s retired,
he’ll always be a teacher when he’s taking you on a horse drawn
hayride. You will learn about agriculture, wildlife, and wetlands in
a method appropriate for all ages.
Wife Jan worked at
one of the Neenah elementary schools for 14 years. Her love of
animals comes from her grandmother who was a South Dakota pioneer.
During Jan's life she has developed a huge passion for animals and
especially horses. As a child, she had no pets, so now enjoys
helping children meet the animals on the farm. As children and
adults follow her around the farm she explains the life, physiology,
and duties of all the farm animals. Jan’s main goal for those who
visit the farm is to have as much fun as possible while learning
about the animals that reside at Cavanaugh’s Carriages.
