WINTER

As snow covers our 140 acres of land, we pull out our beautiful horse drawn sleighs. Our two large Percheron mares, Dee and Dot pull the large sleighs, while Cash and Rock our Standardbred Trotters pull the small sleighs called cutters.  The cutter seats two adults plus our driver and maybe a small child or two. A big Santa type sleigh seats 14 and our largest sled, the bobsled, seats about 21 adults. As you can see, we have a sleigh for just about every occasion.

Sleigh Rides

Cutter rides for 2 (very romantic) $80.00

12-14 person sleigh $150.00

Larger sleigh $10.50 per adult, $6.30 per child (min $150.00)

Sleigh rides include use of party room and camp fire.

During the winter rides, Mr. Cavanaugh (Rodger) enjoys studying the animal tracks found in the snow. It allows him to explain to visitors what kind of animal it was, the size, and where it was headed. Animal tracks can also be found in the mud during other seasons of the year and you can even spot wildlife along your ride.

Our reindeer love the cold and snow. Its fun to see them run, jump and play in the snow. In the snowstorms they are often covered by the drifting snow. They are an interesting animal that we will enjoy telling you all about.

 LATE WINTER

As the snow begins to melt, the maple sap begins to run. You can hear it in the woods, drip, drip, into the pails. Come see how sap is made into maple syrup.
